Automobiles in German Town Discovered Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement State

Officers stated they were alerted by a resident who discovered a automobile in Hanau smeared with reddish fluid

Around 50 cars have been smeared with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's city of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.

Vehicles, exterior walls and postboxes were defaced, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they stated in a statement.

Police state they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a man discovered that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored fluid.

The liquid had been applied in the shape of a swastika, they stated.

Law enforcement then located many other smeared vehicles and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Swastikas are prohibited in Germany under laws banning the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials say preliminary tests indicate the substance was likely blood from a person.

"There is still no clue as to its origin; officials are not yet aware of any injuries in association with the incident," they commented.

City officials announced they were trying "to solve the incident" and have appealed to the residents for details.

A senior political figure said the incident left him speechless and had to be solved quickly.

"This incident hits the very heart of Hanau and reopens the pain of the far-right terrorist attack half a decade ago," he wrote on online, recalling the murder of nine individuals by a shooter focusing on residents of foreign heritage in February 2020.
