The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
